“Polygamy Is Not A Sin” – Reno acts to Yul Edochie’s second marriage

A Nigerian activist and Pastor of Mind of Christ Christian Center, Reno Omokri has reacted to Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie’s second marriage.

Earlier today, the Nollywood actor had posted a picture of himself and his son whom he welcomed with his second wife.

The post generated many reactions by celebrities and fans.

A loyal follower of Reno Omokri called his attention to it and asked for his views concerning Yul Edochie’s second marriage.

Reacting to it, the pastor stated that being polygamous is not bad. “Polygamy is not a sin”, he said. Reno went further and said that God Himself gave David many wives. He drew his submission from 2 Samuel 12:18.

The pastor made it known that polygamy is scriptural and only forbidden for bishops and elders of the church.

Pastor Reno said that it’s saddened that the Africans accepted the concept of monopoly which according to the clergyman, is the constructure of the Western world.
His statement reads;
“In my opinion, @YulEdochie has done no wrong. Polygamy is not a sin. God Himself gave David many wives-2 Samuel 12:18. Polygamy is only forbidden for Bishops, and elders in the church-1 Timothy 3:2. Monogamy is a Western construct, not a Christian one”

“Sadly, Black Africans accept this Western construct called monogamy, as a Christian one. Which is why we are now tolerant of same sex marriage, and intolerant of polygamy. Meanwhile, God supports polygamy-2 Samuel 12:8, and gay marriage is abominable in His sight-Leviticus 18:22.”

“Polygamy is Scriptural-Exodus 21:10. It is hard for a single woman to satisfy the libido of a normal man. It is why we have a high rate of cheating in our society. Compare the rate of adultery in Europe and America, with that of Saudi Arabia and point becomes clear”.
