Gunmen have killed a former chairmanship candidate in Kaduna state local government election, Steven Inuwa and his friend, Earnest Agatha in Abuja.
Inuwa who contested under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, was in a car with his friend on Sunday, when yet to be identified gunmen fired shots towards them around Zuma community on the outskirts of Bwari town.
Late Agatha who was driving the vehicle, died instantly, while the politician was rushed to Bwari general hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
The FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adah, who confirmed the incident said an investigation has been launched and that the culprits will be arrested as soon as possible.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Idris Adam Damari, former Sole Administrator of Dogon Dawa Development Area in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was reportedly killed by suspected bandits.
