Man Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Killing His In-law
A married man, Abdulmutallab Isa, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his brother-in-law at Waiwalo village in Yankwashi local government in Jigawa State.
The defendant was arraigned before the Jigawa State High Court sitting in Kazaure on Friday for allegedly using a knife and a horn to inflict injuries on his brother-in-law, Muntari Ibrahim, which led to his death.
The presiding judge, Justice Hussaina Adamu, said the offence of culpable homicide is punishable with death under Section 221 (b) of the Penal Code Law of Jigawa State.
She said the prosecution counsel has proven his case beyond reasonable doubt and therefore sentenced him to death by hanging.
