AKTC Bus Involves In An Accident, Claims Multiple Lives
A bus operated by the Akwa Ibom State Transport Company (AKTC), was involved in a tragic accident while conveying passengers from Port Harcourt to Uyo, resulting in multiple fatalities. The accident occurred on Friday 20th January, 2023.
According to WonderTV Media correspondent, the bus appeared to have lost control and veered off the road, crashing into a tree. Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, and several passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. However, despite their efforts, several lives were lost in the incident and there was only one survival.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation and at the time of this report, AKTC Motor Company has not issued any statement concerning the incident.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety on our roads and highways, and has prompted calls for increased measures to ensure the safety of passengers on public transportation.
